Time: 1.5 hr
Equipment: Non stick pan, knife, chopping board.
Ingredients: Cereal, yogurt, strawberry, blueberry, walnut, cherry tomato (yellow and red), cucumber, lettuce, ham, egg.
Workflow:
- Halve strawberry and cherry tomato, wash and drain.
- Cut lettuce into bite size pieces.
- Slice cucumber, soak it in water with salt.
- Slice ham with around 1 cm apart.
- Wash and drain blueberry
- Heat up pan, little oil, quickly stir fry ham for a while, put in bowl and let cool.
- Same pan, fry a sunny side up, plate it and let cool.
- Lay out cucumber and strawberry like a flower.
- Mix lettuce, salt, pepper, little extra virgin olive oil and yogurt in a bowl.
- Pour the salad nicely in the center of the plate.
- Put the cherry tomato nicely around the salad.
- Put the ham around the salad.
- Lastly, the sunny egg put onto of the salad, sprinkle bit of pepper.
- Pour cereal into one side of a bowl.
- Gently pour in yogurt spoon by spoon at the other side.
- Decor the cereal bowl with strawberry, blueberry and walnut. Serve and enjoy.
Review: A great day start with a great breakfast. However, just a bowl of cereal is not satisfying enough, so I add in the salad. Crispy ham add in extra flavor and texture into the boring salad. Not to mention the sunny side up, my all time favorite. It just make me feel happy and satisfied when I bite into it.
The cereal already has pecan inside, so I add in walnut to enrich it and it has some many health benefits. For example, it can improve your brain, gut and heart health and reduce risk of some cancers and type 2 diabetes. For female, it helps you control your appetite and weight. For male, it improves your reproductive health. Not to mention that it is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and omega-3.1,2 Moreover, it is widely available and cheap. Hesitate no more, start to add walnut to your everyday meal. It will change your life. However, please avoid it if you are allergic to it. The consequence is fatal.
Things to note: Do not cut the strawberry like what I did in the picture. Halve it will look nicer when plating. The blueberry can all put at the center line of the cereal bowl. Without the strawberry, the cereal bowl will look nicer. It appears messy in the picture.
